My heartfelt commitment to graduate began with my hard-fought victory from Randolph High School in Richmond, Virginia. I fled our state capital in 1988 and headed for the nestled small-community comforts of Radford, tucked comfortably in the heart of the New River Valley. In college, I worked as a Resident Advisor, Student Assistant, tutor for Radford University students with disabilities, and Quad Coordinator.
Upon my graduation in 1992, I was fortunate enough to gain employment with Montgomery County Public Schools as an Inclusion Specialist at Belview Elementary School. I have worked in different strands for MCPS, including an exciting nine-years at middle school.
My career has resumed where it started: that little school on 114 where I began. I wake up every single day with gratitude and enthusiasm for the job of my dreams in the sweet, small school that I love.
